A little bit about Scott...
Scott Armour
trained with Olympic
Gold Medalist Tad Coffin and Raul de
Leon at the Westmoreland-Davis Equestrian Institute in Leesburg, Virginia.
The school stressed the importance of correct dressage work and
gymnastic jumping for both horse and rider.
While attending WDEI, Scott was fortunate to audit and participate in
clinics with Bert de Nemethy, Jack Le Goff, Hans Winkler, and Gunnar Ostergaard.
Scott has taught
professionally for over twenty years, and since
moving to the Atlanta area in 1990, his teaching experience includes
work with riders in the Dressage, Eventing and Hunter/Jumper
disciplines. The opportunity to work for and train with Barry Lane at Full Cry
Farm led to his decision to concentrate solely in the
hunter/jumper field.
For the
past eight years, Scott has based his teaching and
training operation at his Quail Ridge Farm in Moreland, Georgia.
Quail Ridge students show at both local and A shows and include
beginners to Medal riders. Several have been selected to ride on
collegiate teams after graduating from the equitation ranks.
